Oklahoma State University's Listserv Services
provide faculty, staff and students a means for sending
the same email message to a large group of people in a
manner which minimizes the impact on OSU’s email system.
E-mail lists on the OSU campus include general email
lists,
authorized student organization
e-mail lists, and announcement (one-way) e-mail
lists.
Request a List:
An OSU faculty or staff
member may request a Listserv email list. Student
organization Listserv requests must be made by the
organization's faculty or staff advisor.
List are requested
online: REQUEST A NEW LIST
When requesting a
name for your list, please identify the group
being represented. Use the dash “-“ instead of
the underscore “_” character when naming your
list. When your list address is displayed as a
link, the underline formatting will often hide
the underscore. Consider adding –L to the end of
your list name to identify the address as a
listserv list and avoid confusion with an
organizational email address.
Listserv requires a
confirmation from the sender for any message
sent to the list to prevent the distribution of
unsolicited (spam) email.
